Flight attending isn't just a job. It's a lifestyle.

I've been a licensed flight attendant for just under a year now, and I am loving every minute of it! I have been asked a few key questions about this new found lifestyle. Below, I explore a few of those questions, and what that means for booking future photo sessions with me.
"Do crews only fly one route?"
Crew members are constantly going to different locations. We're scheduled in accordance to our availability for that month by "crew schedulers". As I work for a regional airline, we cover shorter routes, so I visit many places in the Eastern half of the U.S..
"Do you get to come home every night?"
I work anywhere from one to six days in a row, with typically 2-6 days off in between trips. My nights are spent in hotels across the U.S.. It's quite exciting spending so many days in different cities and states! When I have a decent amount of time on a layover, I often explore the city I'm in.
"Do you take your camera on trips?"
I adore bringing my film cameras with me on trips. I cycle between my Polaroid Cool Cam, and Fujifilm Instax SQ10. When I get home, I paste the film in an old scrapbook I found antiquing. It's such a treasure to me 🥰! As far as my digital camera is concerned, I'm a little more protective of it, so it doesn't come with me as much. My bags go through a lot of abuse while I'm travelling, so I need to be extra careful when I do bring it.
"What does your weekly schedule look like?"
I actually bid for my schedule by month, so every week can look a little different. I have many options for when to request my days off, but when it comes down to it, I'm at the mercy of my seniority, and the strength of my bid. I am awarded a month's schedule about halfway through the preceding month.
"So what does that mean if I want to book a session with you?"
As I'm unable to guarantee available sessions until a month in advance, I have limited my sessions to portraiture, product shoots, events, and collabs scheduled in the short term. My monthly availability opens up on the 17th of each preceeding month. If you're interested in booking a session, head over to my contact page. I'd love to hear from you!
