Halloween

It's no secret that 2020 has been pretty spooky without the help of ghosts and ghouls. In the midst of the nationwide quarentine, fellow creatives and longtime friends  (myself, Aleasha Bergman, and Shayla Nikles) brainstormed some ways to keep our creative juices flowing. Without much deliberation, we unanimoulsy agreed on a Halloween collaboration which would put all of our talents to the test.

Aleasha Bergman holds a BAA from Central Michigan University with a focus in printmaking and a minor in dance, but now focuses her time on the multidisciplinary arts. Her medium of interest has shifted from canvas to bodies as she creates art with dance and makeup. Her role in the project illuminated her interest in horror SFX and the ability to make the viewer feel uncomfortable.

Shayla Nikles resides in Grand Rapids and finds much of her inspiration coming from the beauty of West Michigan. With a fantasy-like and whimsical style, Shayla was not only involved with the makeup and costume design, but also the production and set design for this project. Follow s.nikles.creations on Instagram for projects to come.
